Humanity bug?
« on: April 21, 2016, 01:05:46 PM »
I've had this bug twice now, once with a red mayors mission and then again with a PK truck, basically i'll engage the ai and kill some of them (the kills are logged and i get the humanity for them). If i then die soon after that i have noticed that the humanity i have then got for those kills disappeared l when i respawn!?!

Very weird. I don't know the reasoning why, but  I'll have to go test this out.

Do you gain any humanity at all any other times you have died? Or just those two moments?

Whenever you respawn, the server loads another version of your character from the database but sometimes that happens before the database write routine has been scheduled to write the stats of your dead character first.  What happens is sometimes the program doesn't have time to write your humanity gain to the database if you die soon afterwards. This is especially true if there is a lot going on on the server as far as AI or pulling stored vehicle info from the DB and the write interval has been slowed down. This is similar to the issue with logging out late, your stats are only temporarily stored in the server's memory and the database is only updated in intervals and doesn't have time to write the info before the server shuts itself down.
