Requestion Authentication Timeout

Hey -- I'm seeing an issue where when I try to logon to the server, and on the Rupert loading screen it says Requesting Authentication, followed by Retrying to Authenticate. It repeats this several times and then finally says "You must be close to a rock to mine ore" and then kicks me back to the server selection screen. Any ideas?

get closer to a rock, and try again 

try verifying the integrity of the game cache through steam (library-arma 2 oa-properties-local files-verify integrity of game cache), if you use commander or launcher to join the server then try booting the server straight through the multiplayer browser in arma 2 oa, this solved my problem when the authentication timed out for me a while back
