I know most of us are probably too busy working on hitting 50,000 humanity to be concerned with extra curricular activities in game at the moment. However, I was just brainstorming over some new ideas that may help give that change of pace some need from the daily grind and possibly help you earn a little cash (gold). These ideas are still in the test tube and would require the approval of the admins, but i'd like to see what your thoughts are and hear any suggestions that may improve what I've come up with.
So here goes... A concrete arena complete with grand stands (stairs) and stadium lighting (light poles and fire barrels) to host a variety of weekend events including but not limited to: Destruction derby, dirt track racing & motocross. Participants pay 10oz to enter, winner takes all (Disclaimer: 10% of all winnings go to the Adopt-a-Zed foundation) .
Entry vehicle restrictions could be limited to sedans and hatchbacks for the no holds barred destruction derby and dirt track racing.
So, how does this fit in with the realistic & post-apocalyptic experience that we want players to have, you might ask? I've got 4 words for ya "Mad Max beyond Thunderdome" baby. Even the inhabitants of nuclear war torn Bartertown took time off from shoveling pig s**t, to enjoy a delightful, carnage filled evening with family and friends at the Thunderdome. And who's to say, maybe Rupert and his minions show up at the half time show to spice up the party.
This is just food for thought to jump start those creative juices. Please feel free to comment, offer suggestions, ridicule, or completely change everything that I've written here.
