JJ and Stavia
« on: May 03, 2015, 10:08:14 AM »
Ok it's official we are proud grandparents to a 7lb9oz baby boy, 19.5 inches long. We apologize for not being in game more as complications have arisen since his birth. Both baby and mom were E-vacced to another hospital and while the baby will recover his road to get there will be long. His mom is doing better each day, and not sure how long it will be before she will be released from hospital. If you can say a quick prayer for baby Isaac it would be appreciated (he is an ICN unit aka Intensive Care Nursery).

Thanks and we WILL see you soon!!

Thank you all! Currently we are awaiting a couple more tests and a specialist to show up for the baby on Monday (4 May 2015) to give us more information.

Ok when our grandbaby was born his white blood count was 68 (normal ranges between 5 and 30) so he had an infection or was fighting one. They did a white blood count and found he did not have immature blood counts which means he was still fighting infections. The doctors had to do an emergency C-section as the poor guy was stuck in the birth canal. How long was he stuck? No clue, neither did any of the birthing team. He had to be resuscitated once he was born. Finally the hospital had the little guy move to a much better and more competent hospital with his mother. Sooo since he has been up to his new hospital he has not had any problems, all his lab results are fine. Mom is doing fine. He is eating like he should, etc. So sadly thats why we have been away for the short few days but seems like eternity!

Currently the little guy is on his way home so all is good thus far :)

Stavia wants me to say hello to everyone! She is recovering from her for lack of better explanation; tummy tuck. It is the last procedure after one has had a gastrial bypass. To date she has lost 102lbs since December 2013. There was a minor complication the doctor didn't say what it was but said she should make a full recovery. Currently I am playing the role of husband, caretaker, dishwasher, paramedic and lord knows what else I may forget to mention. She has a nurse come into the house (visiting nurse) and she does the major things like change out bandages, etc. I will say this - after seeing her stitches ain't no way I want to go what through what she did!!! LoL seriously, she is doing better and seems to be getting better each day. Hippi - Stav said she misses you and thanks you all for thinking of her.
Now the sad news....Stavia is a very family orientated person, meaning if a family member is sick she wants to do what she can to help out. Sadly before she went in for her surgery a family decision was made to withhold information about her grandmother until she started recovery. Her grammy is only 87 yrs old and currently the outlook isn't very good. Her white blood cells are attacking her lungs, she has leukemia, kidney failure (from not drinking enough liquids) and although her side of the family isn't saying much I expect 2 funerals to attend within a couple of months unless a miracle happens. You see gramps is very close to gram having been married for over 55 years. Once gram goes gramps won't be far behind.
So that's kinda where we are at. I am trying to log in as often as I can to chat with you all and just drive around in my fancy asuv :D

I swear the zeds are wreaking havoc with me deliberately,,,stavia was rushed last sunday back to the hospital, underwent emergency surgery @ 6am on monday and has been recovering. seems while she underwent her initial surgery 12 days ago her area they were operating on was exposed to ecol - i virus and then had a skin bacteria also attack the same area and well all hell broke loose. 2 blood transfusions, 18 antibiotics later, 3 days later and several hundred nurse visits later she is on road to recovery. if she can stay healthy enough I can get back in game lol

thanks Hippi. When we took our wedding vows and it was "for better or worse", I was hoping that this would never happen.
