Banned when I've never been on the server?!?!

Hello, since I never had the chance to introduce myself, I'm Louie.

I have been told by my fellow Dayz mates that I was purely banned for attempting to join on a account that was Global Banned. This was purely because, someone previously today was hacking on the server. (this is what I've been told)

I do have proof however that I am not here for ill intent. Posted below are the 2 steam accounts i had attempted to join on, (louie12345678910 being banned) and Navy seal (my brothers account) not being Global banned. If you, would look at the recent play time, I can prove I am not the Hacker that was on previously today, and that I'm not here to cause harm. My account that was banned however, was banned because hidden in a texture pack/enhancement pack/ whatever the hell it's called there was malicious software that stole my CD key and got me banned.

Because all in all, who would do this much work just to hack a server

     Maybe not a hacker, but a troll just might.





Ok Louie, here's the deal. Yes, you tried to log in with a BE globally banned account, then less that a minute later, (which shows you to be an adept key changer with multiple accounts), you tried to log in with an account that definitely was previously banned a while back for stealing by one of our admins.  There is no question of this previous ban and zero chance of this not being true. It is impossible that our server software could pick up your unique 32 digit alpha-numeric GUID locally without you ever having previously logged on. You or your "brother" were indeed here before, perhaps you just don't remember. And indeed that account was banned here, so that is not the question.

The question is though : Were you or your <cough> "brother" banned fairly? It would have been a much better approach to appeal that point, rather than trying to use the obviously false argument of denying ever having been here. Now your integrity is in question. 

So, with that out of the way, you have to make your case to the Admin staff to be un-banned. You are getting another chance to do that now. The ball is in your court. Can you do it?

First of all, my brother does exist - you can ask verodoxys on the server, he knows us IRL.

Before trying to log on yesterday, I myself had never been on the server before. My brother may have been (he plays epoch albeit rarely, and has a bad PC so it makes sense he would have tried to join a server that isn't laggy), but I myself haven't. I've never had an intent to break rules, on this server or others, and you can trust that I won't be stealing, PvPing, etc. I'll be spending the vast majority of the time on the server with vero and our little crew, minding our own business.

The server seems fun, Im usually in skype when my friends are on the server and they really do like the server. It's just upsetting I can't play with them.

Can confirm the brother bit. Also, I'm perfectly willing to back up Louie in saying that he won't be stealing or otherwise breaking rules. Feel free to, in the case that Louie needs to be banned in future for breaking rules, ban me too.

Ok, how did I know the "it was my brother" issue was going to come up?     Well, do me this kindness would you, and ask your brother to explain to you and to us how he got banned from this server?

My brother is only 11, he doesn't remember it too well and thinks he got banned while taking stuff from a mission. Judging by the fact that he doesn't remember how to talk in game I don't think he announced that he was entering the mission area.

After talking it over with the other admins, it is believed the ban was issued for stealing out of vehicles at Stary trader. The admin that issued it was a very competent admin and it was no doubt deserved. I personally have been an admin for a very long time and this whole "it wasn't, me it was blah blah blah" thing has been done to death and pretty much falls on deaf ears. I am much more impressed by a true admission of guilt and expression of sincere remorse than this typical "denial of responsibility" horsecrap, which is pretty much all I am hearing right now.

Tell you what though, I am going to lift the ban for a trial period on a satisfactory reply to this post. Understand that you are on probation for a period and also understand that any infraction or any act or any display of disrespect that displeases myself or any of my admin staff will not only result in an immediate ban of yourself, but of your teammates who have stuck their neck out for you as well. This includes any actions by your "brother" or any other entity that uses your account.

I understand, that you and everyone else of beatnik have heard the "I didn't do it excuse a hundred times," and I truly am sorry for the inconvenience and I am sure my friends and I won't be banned. Just one question. How long is my probation?

Glad you understand. Again, you would do well to keep your brother off the server.he could screw things up permanently.  As far as you probation period, that shouldn't really matter because decent behavior is always expected. There is no set period. Once the admin staff feels comfortable with you being in the server it will become an non issue.

Appeal approved. Ban lifted with conditions
