Can't join the server

I can't join the server, they always stuck, frozen at "receiving data" step. I don't know why and how to fix it, can someone help me, I really want to join the server and play again.

Your connection must be a little slow, gunner, but you can try validating your files. If you are using dayz launcher, the validation option is under the tiny word "settings" in the upper right corner. Otherwise keep trying and it should finally load in.

Gunner that looks like a problem on your end. Your computer has to download some files and verify some other files that are already on your computer before it lets you in, If your client-side files are corrupted, (as can happen from a hard disconnect because the files don't get repacked properly), it will try to re-download those as well. I f your connection is slow, this could take a long time. Have you re-verified your arma and dayz files yet?

Yes, I tried re-verify Arma 2, Arma 2 OA, DayZ, I even uninstall and redownload, verify all those again and again, found many solution on google, but none of them work.

Man, I don't know what to tell you. I really hope you can get it to work. This happens sometimes. People can't get in and then boom,they are in.  It does seem to be working for most people. I guess keep trying. Maybe just let it sit there for a long time and it will finally finish downloading the files.

I have a way to join through steam. After you set it up it seems to work great.  Go into steam, select expansions and make sure you have all things required, which you should. Arma OA, Arma 2, Version 1051, etc. then save those and go to mulit player, select remote and put in the i.p. and port which is 192.31.185.209 : 3323.  Once you do that and join you will see Beatniks at the top. Double click and you should be in.  Hope this helps Gunner.  Let me know, I will do anything I can.

Thank hippi. I always join the server though steam, have Arma 2, Arma 2 OA, Epoch 1.0.1.5,.. Verifed. But it seems that I can't join any dayz epoch server ( low ping or high ping ), I will try redownload all my game.

Try closing down steam, and restarting it in administrator mode. Verify Arma 2 then Arma 2 OA. It will most likely find some missing files and download them. After that, try joining the server again. It's happened to me many times before, and doing this is the only fix that I've found that seems to work for me.

Waited for 30 minutes, and got to this step, completely frozen now.

I had this error for a while now ( 2 month I guess ). I verify Arma 2, OA many time, found some solution : reinstall, update battleyes, use launcher, reinstall epoch, ... none of them work. It seems that the problem is due to my bad connection. Since I rent an apartment and move in to live there, my foreign connection is slowed considerably ( even server ping is 200-250 like my old house ). Delete mission file inside MPMissionCache folder used to work and help me join the server, but not anymore

Gunner I noticed one of your recent disconnect messages said something about a battleye up date not being completed. This is a different issue from the game files not loading problem you had before and one that many players have.  Again I think it is usually caused by a slow connection. Its not so much a ping issue as it is a bandwidth issue. The good news is that you are making progress as it seems that your client-side files have finally updated. Usually takes a few tries for battleye to finally update as well. Once you do get all the files downloaded, your ping should be good enough for you to play the game. Don't give up man we are hoping the best for you.

Thank Sandman. After a few try, I can join some low ping epoch server now , but not our server, still stuck at loading screen.
