The way Beatniks Extreme is set up, it seems each level has its own standout set of equipment. One nice aspect of leveling up, is that you get to appreciate and rely on weapons and vehicles one would not normally use in the game.
Each level-up opens up a large assortment of equipment and vehicles. Here is a list of my personal favorites.
Level 1: Quadbike or Octavious. You don't have many choices as a scared-rat, raw recruit. One of your best options is probably snag a white quad from a spawn point and loot the milbases. Fortunately though, you can reach the next level with just one or two days of semi-serious game-play.
Level 2: Offroad and Armed Huey. This is actually a pretty sweet combo. Some people prefer the 4MB jeep as it has a bit more cargo cap than the Offroad, but the Offroad's ability to haul crates offsets this IMO . The Huey will lift the Offroad nicely too. The armed version of the offroad will be your first available purchased M2 mounted gun, but I don't think it can load a crate. The Huey comes with mounted M240s and life-saving AI avoidance radar..
Level 3. Qilin and HEMETT. The Qilin is a superb offroad assault vehicle armed with a scorching m134 minigun and impressive cross-country speed. The HEMETT truck has the largest capacity in the game and is very durable offroad. It is capable of carrying and towing 4 vehicles plus crates.
Level 4: Prowler and Ghosthawk. The armed Prowler comes with an M2 turret equipped with nightvision and also a foward-firing m240. While not completely enclosed with armor, it does offer some shielding and with a crew of two or more to man the guns, is devastating to road patrol AI. The Ghosthawk is a fast transport helicopter equipped with side firing m134's with some armor. It is capable of absorbing a missile or two and can take a bit of M2 fire better that some other helis.
Level 5: M2 Ifrit, M2 Hunter. Now we are talking guys. Both of these vehicles come with substantial armor and remotely fired periscope guns. The mission AI tremble in fear at the thought of these beauties.
Level 6: Too much to list here. Most everything on the menu is devastating. From the formidable cannon and missile packing Gorgon APC to the 'death from above" Mi48 attack heli, its all nasty stuff guys, just nasty.
