Ok I recognize that error message. What its trying to do is join an Epoch server while its in vanilla arma2 mode. I am not real familiar with survival launcher but somewhere, probably under settngs, there will be a place to put in addition launch parameters. What you want to do is insert this line in that place
-mod=@DayZ_Epoch
Just like that, no spaces. This tells your game you are joining an Epoch server and not an Arma2 server. If there is anything else in there, copy and save it to notepad just in case, and clear the space and put this line in by itself.
