Framedrops
« on: August 29, 2015, 01:38:13 PM »
ever since the server move me,gurp and a few other players have been experiencing extreme framedrops in while playing, for me this is most noticeable in towns. I was flying the other day at a steady 60 fps, i hit cherno and it dropped to 6fps, my drivers are all up to date and my game graphics settings are the same they have always been. I always experienced these framedrops and usually lost around 10-15 fps in large cities, but now the issue make the game almost unplayable sometimes, the only processes i run in the background whilst playing are skype, steam and sometimes teamspeak, any help appreciated  :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I revalidated the server files yesterday. That might help, i was experincing some drops myself and now they seem fixed. Otherwise nothing has been changed on the server end for quite a while other than the snapping tool. The towns use a lot of textures and really load your video memory. I also hear that when you lower the settings on arma below a certain point, it shifts more of the load from your vid card to the cpu and that might not be best for performance.

alright thank you sand, i think this is helping slightly, ive also turned off vsync and that seems to help as well, only drops to around 25-30 in towns now which is significantly more playable   ;)
