screen name meanings...
« on: May 09, 2015, 04:32:00 PM »
I don't know why I was thinking of this but....

How did you come up with your screen name?  Mine's is kinda neat.  I was curious one day about which letter in my name is the most common, or appears the most times, so I put them in alphabetical order and counted them (including middle name).  Alphabetically the letters in my name are: BEIKNORST, and I thought Beik Norst looked like a good name!  I've dropped the Norst on this server but have used it before.

Now my sons; we are a Jeep family.  I own a '01 Wrangler, my wife has a '98 Cherokee, and my youngest just bought a '12 Patriot yesterday.  The original jeep after WWII was called a CJ (civilian jeep) and each model change was given a "-#"  the cj-5 and cj-7 being the most popular.  All Jeeps have a two letter model designation; when AMC bought the company their new Wrangler was called YJ, Chrysler's was TJ (that's mine).  Cherokee's are XJ's etc etc.  Jeep people usually refer to the 2 letter designation when talking about vehicles.

Well my youngest loves our Cherokee (XJ) so he usually goes by REDxj (most of our vehicles are red too for some reason), my oldest son bought his first vehicle a couple years ago - a red Chevy Blazer, so he goes by redCHEVY.

Well my name is pretty much self-explanatory, Bloody. That's how I usually end-up....   :-\ But it's so much fun... But speaking of Jeeps Beik, I'm on my second `83 CJ-7. My favorite year.  I also drive a Toyota FJ Cruiser. Arizona is made for the off-roader.

I've had this one since I was in middle school, and have used it for nearly two decades now, after I joined the Army, everyone assumed it had something to do with my military service, but it doesn't though it does fit me well.

It originated from the old graphical MMO/RP game Furcadia.    The main objective of that game was RP, and I think this was my third or fourth character there.    Eventually I grew irritated with the game and moved on, but kept this name.    I've had it since then in almost every MMO I've played.

Mine is the title of a song from my favorite band - Thrice. I have had it as a screen name for about 11 years now and has stuck since! I have been a musician for 15 years so music is usually involved in just about every life decision that I make haha.

LoL my screen name is usually Whodunnit, but for whatever reason I logged into the game as Jessy James. It really fits as I like to loot rather than fight for loot. Although when I fight for I go through too many clips to count. While JJ used a horse my choice of steeds is my trusty black asuv with the 134mm on the roof

Lol Delbert!!!  I came up with mine about 10 years ago. I wanted the gamer tag DarkAvenger but it was taken so I'm like hmm DarkAFK. AFK is not away from keyboard but means Always F$&*ing Kills. That goes back to my console days playing COD and Gears of War.

Guess it's my turn. Well, I've always been about peace and love. I've always dug tie dye clothes, volkswagens vans, love beads and pretty much anything associated with a Hippy. So, I've been Hippichik for many years (I think Sand first started calling me that). When I started gaming with Sand on Dayz, he set up my account as Hippikill so I wouldn't get harassed by male players. Eventually I became Mod & Admin on servers before this and shortened it down to Hippi. When we decided to start Beatniks I was still working the other server out of dedication to the players. So my original name here at Beatniks was Hopper because I was hopping between two servers on the down low. Anyway,I am often at my computer wearing  tie dye cotton dresses as I play the game  ;) just a Hippy at heart. So there you have it, how Hippi was born.

Back a few years ago, I used to play on a scenario paintball team in the old semi-pro SPPL league. My teammates gave me the call sign "Hawkeye" because I seemed to be decent at spotting the enemy. I soon transitioned into airsoft and online gaming and later changed it to "Hawker", since the action hero character, "Hawkeye", became more famous and people thought I was referencing that. This is the name I played with on the old THG server. Hippi and I were both admins there. They called us the Bonnie and Clyde of the server, lol. After a while, due to some bad decisions of the upper server management, THG started a downhill spiral, and we decided to start our own server in secret. It didn't feel honorable trying to take any of the server population with me so I decided on a fresh start and needed another name besides Hawker.  I just pulled "Sandman", (a somewhat cliche allusion to being an assassin, if you will), out of the air as a temporary solution and it stuck.

My name comes from the 1954 Richard Matheson novel 'I Am Legend' which was the inspiration for the movie 'Night of the Living Dead' and the spring board for great films like, 1964 'The Last Man on Earth' with Vincent Price, 1971 'The Omega Man' with Charlton Heston and 2007 'I am Legend' with Will Smith. The lead character in the book is named Dr. Robert Neville, but in the '64 film with Vincent Price the name was changed to Dr. Robert Morgan. Since I am a big Vincent Price fan and Doc Morgan sounds better than Doc Neville, I went with Doc Morgan as a nod to Vincent Price and the whole 'zombie genre'..

Here I come, Usually been known as Gabbie during my Gaming experience. You probably guessed that it's a nickname to my Real name Gabriel. Been called Gabbie since I turned 10 and decided to use it in games. Eventually switched a few years later due to a refresh and Players Harrasing me thinking i'm a girl (LOL). Few names came by, [K9]Kryptex is the name i used the most along with Aurora and ***(c)***Gabbie Back when i was an admin on the cobras server (Bf2 Demo). Aurora is the name i use in every game now, Bf3, BF4, Hardline, DayZ and so on. Got the idea from a french canadian movie Called "Aurore l'enfant martir" as Aurora was used, V3 came along.

I have always been a motorcycle enthusiast so the name I first started out with was Rattrap, a transformer (maximal) any how that soon got shortened to just Ratt. But as the online gaming comunity grew it became harder and harder to get that name in a new game. I had a 1981 Shovelhead that was my main ride for several years so it seemed like a no brainer shovel short for the shovel head and on servers or games where that name was taken i could use 81shovel so far i haven't had any problems getting that name in any game. :P
