I remember watching a lot of these guys' news segments on YouTube. They're pretty hilarious and I wished we had something like that in the States.

Napf Overpoch / Beatnik Bandits Reunion 3.0 The Movie
« on: December 08, 2018, 10:42:40 AM »
It is finally time.

Take out that popcorn and sit back because this is close to an hour long of us taking on 3 special missions. The video took me a while to complete due to work stacking up on each other. Usually it slows down for me by this time of year, but surprisingly it hasn’t.

Anyways, I got 2 links to present. The first one is the Director’s Cut on my Dropbox. I’d prefer you guys watch that one. Hell... you can even download it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zdf68e1755t7gqd/Beatnik%20Bandit%20Reunion%203.0.mp4?dl=0

Second link goes to YouTube. This version became the way it is due to copyright blocking the whole video (one change to the end of the video): https://youtu.be/zhcv06Eu42Y

Anyways, hope you guys enjoy it and look forward to seeing you guys again for the next one.

General Discussion / Update on the Reunion 3.0 Video
« on: October 31, 2018, 03:08:14 AM »
Hey Everyone,

The Fall season is usually a really busy month for me. I've only had a few opportunities to make some time to edit down the footage. But it's coming together quite well.

So what's the status on the video? I got a minor rough edit in where I cut down the boring parts where there's not much going (ex. me flying around in the MV22). There's a good amount of banter going around in TS, so I wanted to keep that in while you see me flying around.

With Reunion 2.0, we only done 1 special mission and the video was sitting around 11-12 minutes. Reunion 3.0 however, we slammed through 3 special missions, so you're looking at tripling that time. With all the small to large special moments in the video, it looks like it's going to sit around 40 minutes to an hour. Seems like we're making a Hollywood movie.

Reunion 2.0 took about 1-2 weeks to finish. I probably spent a total of 24-36 hours on and off the project. As for 3.0, I'm estimating that it'll take up to 3 weeks to finish.

I'm hoping that I can get it done a little bit earlier, but with work being busy, I can't give any promises if I can get it done within 3 weeks.

In the meantime. I linked a screenshot of the timeline for the reunion. Currently it's sitting around 1 hour, 11 minutes, 25 seconds, and 42 frames.

So that's a little update for the vid.

General Discussion / A Guide To Installing Arma 2 DayZ: Overpoch
« on: August 27, 2018, 09:28:28 PM »
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nz6mcyyP_Vk

So, this could be a potentially late tutorial, but it's tutorial nonetheless illustrating the process of getting Arma 2, Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead, DayZ Epoch, and DayZ Overwatch running for the beautiful Napf server. At least, this is how I've been launching the server all this time.

Overall summary of the process.

Install and launch Arma 2. (you need to launch/play the game to fully install the files to your computer) [verify files if you already have game installed]
Install and launch Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead. (you need to launch/play the game to fully install the files to your computer) [verify files if you already have game installed]
(Install any additional DLC) [British Armed Forces, Private Military Company, Army of the Czech Republic]

Download and install DayZ Launcher https://dayzlauncher.com/

Search for "Beatnik". Click the Download icon. DayZ Epoch and DayZ Overwatch will start downloading and installing.
Change the mod/download path to Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folder. (You can move the mods that are downloaded by default to C:\Users\(user)\Documents\mods and move that straight to the A2 OA folder.)

Launch Beatniks server and pray no issues occur in the meantime. Some errors may occur but may not affect gameplay.

Hope this guide helps. And hope to see you guys for the reunion.

Alrighty, arbiter. I made a video guide on the process on how I get DayZ running. One thing that I did forget to mention before I recorded the video, I deleted all my Arma 2 and DayZ files including the player data saved on my Documents folder on my C:\ drive. So I started out clean and redownloaded the files.

Also, I've opted out of the Betas when going through the properties of A2 and A2 OA.

In summary.

Install and launch Arma 2. (verify files if you already have it installed)
Install and launch Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead. (verify files if you already have it installed)
(Install additional DLC if you have it)

Find DayZ Launcher:
Download DayZ Epoch mod (latest patch)
Download DayZ Overwatch mod (latest patch)

Make sure the mods are in the Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folder's directory.

Find Beatniks on DayZ launcher and launch the server.

Hopefully no issues then. So I hope this helps.

I’ll try to make a step by step guide later today. It should be up by tomorrow.

Damn, dude...

Once you have the A2 installed, you'll want to start up the game and at least load the first campaign level and play for about 2 minutes. That way the files are all loaded. Same goes for Arma 2 OA.

I'll probably make a quick video on how to get this game running since we got the reunion coming up. It's always a pain in the neck having to troubleshoot all the small errors.

12
I think you need both Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA installed in order to run DayZ. Arma 2 is the base game and Arma 2 OA is the expansion for it. Arma 2 has the Chenarus map on it, so that's probably why you're getting that error about sauerland.

13
have you tried booting into A2 and A2OA separately without any mods to load the initial game files into your computer? also, you got a TS for the server? I can only join in for a couple minutes then I gotta run.

14
You have DayZ, DayZ Epoch 1.0.6.2, and DayZ Overwatch all loaded and verified in DayZ Launcher, correct?
