Hey Hippi, I'm so glad we are back. Happy Days! I have some wee problems tho. I logged in this morning and seem to have been another character i was playing with 2600 humanty and none of my inventory from before. My base has disappeared totally with all my vehicles as well. Is this normal? Are we all starting from scratch again? If so then I don't mind :) Just happy to have the server back!

edit: well I'm getting a really long error message, gonna be a while till I get this all sorted out

I had to uninstall A2 temporarily to DL the 10GB A3 update. :-\
Christmas will probably bring about a new SSD though...

well, I got rid of the error message but now just get the dreaded "wait for host", sniff sniff

Also beik, are you able to get into any other epoch servers?

can't get into any epoch server, it starts to load then says session lost... I'm lost when it comes to arma and these mods

Beik have you tried reverifying your files? I like to do the arma game files in the steam library and the epoch files with a2 launcher

yeah, no idea how to do the steam ones, did reinstall everything on survival launcher...
edit, i think I figured out how to re verify the files, doing that now. I hope it helps, I've tried it in the past without success...

which is what I got before and deleted those files, then got the wait for host. any ideas 'cause I'm clueless

Ok I recognize that error message. What its trying to do is join an Epoch server while its in vanilla arma2 mode. I am not real familiar with survival launcher but somewhere, probably under settngs, there will be a place to put in addition launch parameters. What you want to do is insert this line in that place
-mod=@DayZ_Epoch
Just like that, no spaces. This tells your game you are joining an Epoch server and not an Arma2 server. If there is anything else in there, copy and save it to notepad just in case, and clear the space and put this line in by itself.

I can't find an area to add launch parameters in SL, gonna looking for something else to launch with, I know I've tried some before and SL was the only thing that worked.

Beik, if this helps i use DayZLauncher (https://dayzlauncher.com/) Works perfectly for me you can join the server directly from the launcher and it loads the correct mods for you.

well I got dayzlauncher to work and I'm back in the game baby.

oh no, well take a look at what we said above, I switched to dayzlauncher and have no problems now...
