Haha...it's been a long time since I've played. How do I update the game and get on Beatniks server? Sorry for being so lame.

We understand man. I bounce between three servers and stay so confused! Let's see if I can help. First go to steam, Arma 2, verify integrity of cache. Go back to steam and do the same for Operation Arrowhead. Next use Dayz Launcher (download if you don't have it of course), select Mods then choose Epoch to download or verify, which ever is needed. Then I usually reboot just for that clean, fresh start lol. Now go to Dayz Launcher and search Beatnik and you should have it. The IP is 208.115.200.30 :2302

Thanks Hippi...I'll give it a try. I appreciate your help. Not sure if I'll be all that interested in playing it again but we'll see. Played that game a couple of years. :)

Followed your directions but the DayZ launcher isn't working. Had it forever so maybe it needs updating? Getting an error #404. If I need to re-install it where do I do that? Like I said, lame...but.....

Hmmm...still the same error...and I re-booted after installing it. Next time we're are on Tanoa together let's talk about it. I must be doing something wrong.

You may have to uninstall the old one before you can download the new Dayz launcher. Any of my file Guru's please feel free to jump in :)

I did have to take off the old launcher and then download the new. I downloaded Epoch...which actually I never played on ARMA 2...we were playing Origins. Whatever, the launcher seems to work and I've found the server. However, now I get an error message that I need Chernarus which is weird because isn't that a standard ARMA 2 map? The exact error message is: Addon 'sauerland' requires addon Chernarus. Then as it tries to get me into the game it says: No entry "bin\config.bin/CfgWorlds/Chernarus.ilsPosition"

You may have to start from scratch again, but try running Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead by themselves. In A2 OA, you can click on Editor, load up Chernarus, and see if the map loads that way.
If that doesn't work, then you'll need to start over.
Since you have Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA already loaded. In your Steam Library, right click on the A2 and A2 OA > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of File Cache. Once verification is done, run Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA so the initial files are loaded in. If you have all of the DLC, that will load in except for Army of the Czech Republic. That will need to be done manually.
After that, make sure you have DayZ and DayZ Epoch downloaded from DayZ Launcher and the files are verified there too. Then look up Beatnik Bandits and join in.
It's important to run Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA before you get to Beatniks. You need to run those games before you start.

If you have the Czech Republic DLC, right click on Arma 2 OA then go to Install Army of the Czech Republic DLC.

Lots of things to do to play this game :) Thank you. Installed DLC but will have to try to get in-game later due to things I have to do this afternoon. Hopefully I'll be able to get the Chenarus...or it will magically appear.

Did all that you suggested Edge. The server is still telling me I don't have Chenarus...even though I loaded the map through the editor in ARMA 2. There is a pop-up box that says that my game path is through "C" but my games are in my D drive. Don't know how to change that and I don't actually think that's the problem...although it may be. If I have to start over I guess I need to take everything off my computer and download everything again? And will the DLC stuff automatically get attached? Sorry for being so clueless.

That is exactly the issue. The game is looking for the @DayZ and @DayZ_Epoch mods in the wrong folder. I assume that DayZ Launcher installed the mods on on your C: drive so all you need to do is manually select the @DayZ and @DayZ_Epoch mod folders and drag them into your Arma 2 OA on your D: drive.
To do this you'll need to go to your Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead.
Select @DayZ and @DayZ_Epoch, and other mods if you have them installed there. Then drag and drop into the the Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folder on your D: drive.
So it should be something like this (D:) > Steam > steamapps > common > Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead.
After that's done, you'll need to go into DayZ Launcher, hit settings on the top right, change the Mods/Download Path to the Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead and change ARMA 2 Path to the Arma 2 folder on your D: drive.
Changing the file path in DayZ Launcher is pretty important since when launching Beatniks, Launcher will require you to download the mods back to the C: drive.
You shouldn't need to download or delete anything at all in this process, it should just be moving files and changing file paths in DayZ Launcher. This is sorta the same issue when I had to update A3 Launcher and it was installing the Exile mod to my C: drive. Same deal just moved it over and changed the file path. I would recommend verifying files one last time in Steam and DayZ Launcher after moving the mod files.
So this should fix your issue 100%. Best of luck.
